Toby Keith, the familiar singer, songwriter, and musician – is one of the most complete self-directed country music hit makers. Between 1993 and 1997, he released his first four studio albums and a Greatest Hits set for Mercury Records before leaving the label in 1998. These early albums all earned Gold or higher certification. From 1998 to 2000, during his tenure on DreamWorks Nashville, his next three albums were certified Platinum.
In 2018 he celebrated the 25th anniversary of his debut top single, “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” with a week of events in Nashville. Keith also released his song, “Don’t Let The Old Man In,” which was inspired by a conversation he had with Clint Eastwood and was later featured in Eastwood’s movie, “The Mule”.
Also in 2018, the 15th Annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic raised more than $1 million, bringing the annual event’s total funds raised to $12.4 million, to support the charitable endeavors of The Toby Keith Foundation which includes aiding sick children and their families in Oklahoma via the OK Kids Korral, a cost-free home for families of children dealing with critical illnesses. In 2013, when a tornado ravaged his hometown, Toby Keith was the face of the community and helped shoulder the cleanup with the OK Twister Relief Concert.
He has his own record label, Show Dog Nashville, but at the core of his work is his songwriting – as recognized in his 2015 induction into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in New York City. The Nashville Songwriters Association International named him Songwriter/Artist of the Decade and he is a three-time BMI Country Songwriter/Artist of the Year. His songs have received more than 92 million BMI performances on commercial radio stations worldwide, making him the organization’s top country songwriter on country radio. The awards are too numerous to count and include Artist of the Decade nods from Billboard and the American Country Awards, as well as the ACM’s Career Achievement honor, Poet’s Award recipient, and twice their Entertainer of the Year award winner in back-to-back years.
Toby Keith’s performances have lit up stages and thrilled audiences at venues across the country. He has released 19 studio albums, two Christmas albums, and five compilation albums – worldwide sales of over 40 million albums! If you are booking talent for a special event and in need of a unique and well-known country performance, or a casino owner looking for famous entertainment that will amaze your VIPs, then Toby Keith is a perfect choice.
