Stephanie Bennett is an extremely talented professional harp player. Her career as a premiere harpist has included composing, performing, recording, and teaching.

Stephanie began the study of the harp as a junior high school student in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She continued her studies of classical harp performance and composition at the University of Michigan. Later she learned even more at the Dick Grove School of Music and at UCLA Extension. Courses in Advanced Modern Harmony, Arranging, 20th Century Harmony, and Film Scoring, prepared her for an industrious career.

Stephanie Bennett has performed in the United States, Japan, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Panama, France, and Switzerland. She has played solo harp performances of her own compositions at the Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), the International Music Seminars in Montpelier, France, and the International Conference on Women in Music.

Stephanie’s music has been heard on soundtracks and she has also appeared onscreen – in television shows and movies that include: Murphy Brown, Falcon Crest, Sisters, Picket Fences, Party of Five, The Single Guy, The Sweetest Thing, Celine Dion’s 1998 Christmas Special, The Other Sister, Love Affair, Gypsy, Cobb, the Frank Sinatra mini-series, John Tesh’s A Romantic Christmas, A Time For Dancing, and Dancing With the Stars where she played with Florence and the Machine. Her music videos include those with Trisha Yearwood and Aerosmith.

Her beautiful harp music can be heard on recordings by many other artists such as: Paul McCartney, Lee Ann Rimes, Lamb, Linda Ronstadt, Everlast, Miyuki Nakajima, Ray Conniff, and Beck. She has toured with groups as diverse as R&B legend Bobby Womack, big-band Ray Conniff Singers & Orchestra, Persian singing star Dariush, Mexican superstars Vicente & Alejandro Fernandez, and the Canadian band Cowboy Celtic. Performances include showcasing her talent for the Mayor of Los Angeles, the Governor of California, and the Prime Minister and President of Israel, the wedding of star Jennifer Lopez, the wedding of director James Cameron, and even the engagement party of celebrity model Brooke Shields.
