For over 35 years the Doo-Wah Riders have been riding their own patch of the musical range throughout the West. Their sound could be described as “high energy country with a Cajun twist”. Possessing a combination of experience, youthful energy, and a love for what they do, this band plays country music with an original flair of their own.
With arrangements ranging from classic Country, contemporary Western, and originally composed songs – the Doo-Wah Riders have become favorites on Country & Western music stages. The band has appeared in concert with: Garth Brooks, George Strait, Alabama, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Brooks and Dunn, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Dolly Parton, Alison Krauss, The Judds, Brad Paisley, Lone Star, Clint Black, Randy Travis, The Oak Ridge Boys, Travis Tritt, Leann Rimes, John Denver, Ricky Van Shelton, K.D. Lang, The Statler Bros., Joan Jett, and many more.
In addition to being artists in their own right, the Doo-Wah Riders have served as a back-up band for many famous acts such as: Glen Campbell, George Jones, Chalee Tennison, Billy Ray Cyrus, Lee Ann Womack, Martina McBride, and countless others. The band recorded with Byron Berline on his Grammy nominated CD, “Fiddle and a Song” and appeared in the movie Basic Instinct, starring Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone. Featured doing one of their own songs, “Glowing in the Ashes”, the Doo-Wah Riders appeared on TNN’s Prime Time Country and on the prime time television Dick Clark Production Will You Marry Me?.
Professional and talented, the band has been featured entertainment at famous locales like The Grammys, The Academy of Country Awards (1985-2001), Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Michael Martin Murphey’s West Fest, The Wildhorse Saloon (Nashville, TN), Pleasure Island (Florida), Sea World, as well as Knott’s Berry Farm and Magic Mountain.
